Only on abc 7 news, this south bay College Student says he was knocked unconscious in an attack that police are calling a hate crime. From mount tam this morning, were looking at numbers in the 60s from Half Moon Bay to San Francisco. 52 gilroy. 59 in the oak view. Mountain view at 60. Weve got upper 40s santa rosas as well as novato. Mid 50s for concord and livermore. A bit cooler this morning due to cloud cover and calmer winds at the surface anywhere from 6 to 9 degrees cooler. Encounters with an armed man. He said something along the lines of the safe in the street, or something along those lines. I saw the gun and that told me to hurry up and get in the building and call the police. I noticed that he had this gun and it was from his shoulder all the way to his knees. And police were actually called out to the address earlier that night to a report of the man acting strangely. Later on we got a return call and the subject was out in front in fatigues and a bulletproof vest and carrying a rifle. Reporter the man lived inside of the apartment complex and neighbors said he showed increasingly erratic behavior over the last week. There was some noise complaints and believe it or not it was the same guy last night. The cops came and there was a lot of yelling. Reporter when the Police Showed up a second time the man went behind the building and disappeared. The Police Called out the s. W. A. T. Team and set up a perimeter. Neighbors were told to shelter in place.
Here on a sunday morning. Its not monday, dont adjust your television. But marcus is here because i told him that it was going to be warm when he woke up really early on a sunday. I decided to get up early. If you are heading outside you will notice its fairly mild in the 40s and 50s, even some 60s out there. 65 degrees for pacifica, 61 for san jose, 52 for hayward. All across the board we are seeing mild temperatures. We are slightly cooler in some spots like livermore, sunnyvale a little cooler than yesterday at this hour, but that temperature trend does show a nice climb into those upper 60s and, yes, 70s again for San Francisco. 67 degrees by 1 00, by 2 00, 69 degrees and we are expecting another day of record temperatures. Believe it or not san jose yesterday hit a high of 78, beating the old record of 74. I will have a closer look at how many spots did end up beating the record coming up in just a bit.
