Only on abc 7 news, this south bay College Student says he was knocked unconscious in an attack that police are calling a hate crime. The day going to see that rain moving in by this evening. Look at the timeline, moving into the north bay by the evening commute, so we will break that down and take a closer look in just a few minutes. Mike, you already have a car fire in walnut creek . First there was a crash, then a car fire then it sounds like a traffic break. 680 walnut creek it sounds like all lanes should be cleared right now. We will be getting the car moved over off of the roadway and a fire crew due to arrive. No fire going on now and no injuries, but north into walnut creek expect the activity on the right shoulder for a short period of time. See you then thank you. The right now rain will be a welcome site for the crews fighting fires. They expect full containment tomato but the fires burning within thet containment lines. More people allowed home this evening. Dry creek reopened in napa county. Only 15,000 people remain evacuated. Down from 100,000 last saturday. Now thats because all five of the north bay fires are more than 70 contained. Authorities today though increased the number of homes and other building destroyed to nearly 7,000 now. A lot of the attention is turning to the cleanup and recovery for thousands of families beginning with the removal of tons of toxic debris.
