This is the scene where officers say they last saw the guy. It happened around 4 oclock this morning. At the time, though, Peters Police officers were responding to another incident when officers say they saw the man break into a car. Officers say the man fired at least one set them. Police detectives. Say that they did not return fire and are okay. Investigators say the man and drove away from the scene in a white ford explorer. He got on southbound 6 ad where they say he eventually crashed on the offramp near north capitol and 6 ad. He ran off after crashing at this time. Officers are still looking for it.
