Tourist footfalls reduce at Patratu dam | Ranchi News

Ramgarh: Tourist footfalls at the picturesque Patratu dam in Ramgarh have reduced sharply in the past week, after the body of a female MBBS student was found at the site on January 12. The deceased was a first-year student of Hazaribag Medical College and Hospital and hailed from Godda. The case has not been solved yet. A local vendor said, “Till the first week of January, tourists were visiting the place in significant numbers. The tourist footfall was between 4,000 and 5,000 every day. However, in the last few days, the number came down to 200.” The state government has built a sprawling resort at Patratu and there is also a plan to set up a film city in the vicinity.
