Addressing Community Members for the First Time Since two major incidents. First, a fire that appears to have been set saturday inside target. Second, a 7eleven that was ransacked during a sunday sideshow that left one person shot. And this pickup truck on fire. Our target was set on fire. The sideshow that you reported on, its lawlessness. Completely lawlessness in the city. And everyone knows it. And theyre taking advantage of it. On monday, multiple neighbors who chose not to show their face out of fear voiced their safety concerns. After the 7eleven and sideshow situation, two Community Members like Paula Connelly took it a step further, begging for help from the governor. State of emergency. Last july, we have no help from the outside, no sheriffs, no chp. Oakland just got an influx of officers from the governor, and we would like the governor to send officers here, interim Vallejo Police chief jason todd says the department is severely understaffed at just 33 patrol officers, but
San franciscos landscape. Macys is leaving the city nearly 80 years after opening the doors to its iconic building. And tonight, some questions about whats next for union square. Everythings evolving so quickly in San Francisco, so that im kind of excited to see whats going to go in next downtown is really, really cool. Theres still so much going on. Theres still new businesses coming in. A sad day for some san franciscans, but for others, optimism about the future of union square. Good evening everyone. Im mike mibach and im Claudine Wong. Macys announced today that it will close 150 locations over the next two years. That includes the citys union square location. Macys says a change in the retail landscape has forced it to change its strategy. So instead, the company is going to open 15 new bloomingdales and 30 new bluemercury stores. The San Francisco macys will not close until the company can sell the building, which could take over a year. Ktvu is amber lee joins us now live from
2000ft. So that is a lot of snow. So the projections looking at anywhere from 5 to 10in all the way down to about colfax, as we talked here about the sierra snow lab, as you mentioned, 19in reported there since earlier this morning in a 24 hour period. And then areas in the 8700ft reporting near tahoe city at the summit last night 145 mile per hour wind gusts. So very strong winds, very hazardous and dangerous conditions right now. South lake tahoe reporting a wind gust to 39 and a gap about 5000ft. Reporting a wind gust to 41. The advise is for a blizzard warning will continue until sunday morning, expected to expire right around 10 a. M. The avalanche warning for the greater lake tahoe area goes until tomorrow morning. That may be extended, and as weve been talking about for a few days now, above 5000ft could see ten feet, maybe even 12. All said and done with snow levels expected to drop down to below 2000ft by the end of the weekend, a better look at the Current Conditions of what
