Sybil Morial admires the first marker for the Louisiana Civil Rights Trail unveiled May 3 at Dooky Chase's Restaurant in New Orleans. The trail is a project of the Louisiana Office of Tourism led by Louisiana Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser (pink tie). NEW ORLEANS — Last month, as her audience lunched on fried chicken and mustard greens, Sybil Morial summarized why the first marker for the Louisiana Civil Rights Trail was installed outside the dining room’s door, in front of Dooky Chase’s Restaurant.
