A lot more, too.
Rutgers’ freshman 184-pounder avenged his only loss of the season, pinning Minnesota’s Owen Webster after a reversal to advance to the semifinal round of the Big Ten Championships on Saturday at the Bryce Jordan Center. Poznanski also clinched an automatic qualifier spot for the NCAA Championships on March 18-20 in St. Louis.
The Scarlet Knights will have two semifinalists -- Poznanski and star 141-pounder Sebastian Rivera -- after going 2-2 as a team in the quarterfinal round. Seven of their nine wrestlers remain alive in the tournament after the first session. Rutgers is tied for ninth in the team score race with 23.5 points.
