Mark Cameron, 49, and Jose Rodriguez, 45, both of West Glen Street, were arrested by Holyoke Police, Massachusetts state troopers and members of the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department after officers executed a search warrant at their home. Cameron was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, over 36 grams, and trafficking in fentanyl, over 10 grams, police said in a statement. Cameron allegedly had 76 grams of methamphetamine in his possession, police said, and he was also charged with possession of crack cocaine and prescription pills with intent to distribute. ....

West Springfield man, 18, killed when vehicle hits pole in Holyoke Staff Writer lights By JACQUELYN VOGHEL HOLYOKE An 18-year-old West Springfield man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on County Road on Sunday night, according to the Holyoke Fire Department and Hampden district attorney’s office. The driver struck a utility pole in the area between Bluemer Road and Camp Jahn Road, the Holyoke Fire Department said on its Facebook page, and the car was “engulfed in flames” with wires down when Holyoke and Southampton police arrived at the scene at 554 County Road at about 10:30 p.m. Fire crews extinguished the flames “fairly quickly,” according to the department, but the driver had died in the vehicle. Holyoke man, 25, arrested on murder charges 1 year and 1 day after the homicide of Raequese Wright Updated Jan 13, 2021; HOLYOKE – Police arrested a 25-year-old man on a murder charge one year and one day after he allegedly shot a Springfield man to death in the downtown area. Jose Gonzalez-Diaz, 25, of Holyoke, was arrested on Tuesday on a warrant charging him with the murder of Raequese Wright, said James Leydon, spokesman for Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni. Wright was killed on Jan. 11, 2020 near 133 Sargeant St. A Holyoke police officer heard multiple gunshots while on patrol in the area and quickly responded to find Wright suffering from gunshot wounds. He began first aid and Wright was brought to Holyoke Medical Center where he died, Leydon said. ....
