SIOUX CITY, IA. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jimmies women’s basketball team pushed #7 Morningside to the brink of elimination on Wednesday night before eventually falling 84-75 to the Mustangs. Sophomore Kia Tower tied her career-high point total as she finished with 25 for Jamestown on 10-18 shooting. Macy Savela had another big game off the bench for the Jimmies, and the consistent three-point threat dropped in 16 on five made threes. Hannah DeMars also finished in double figures, putting up 15 points and five rebounds. Morningside was the regular-season champion in the GPAC, and the Mustangs have now won 18 straight games. Sierra Mitchell scored a game-high 27 points in the win for Morningside. ....

(NewsDakota.com) – It wasn’t always pretty on Monday afternoon at Harold Newman Arena, but the University of Jamestown women’s basketball team picked up its 10th conference win of the year in a 71-55 victory over the College of St. Mary. Without leading scorer and rebounder Hannah DeMars in the lineup, the Jimmies turned to Kia Tower and Macy Savela for extra production on offense. Tower led all scorers with 20 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Savela was lights out from three-point range, shooting 50% on the day, and wracking up 16 points. Freshman Audrey Rodakowski scored in double figures once again, tallying 11. ....
