Man, 20, admits possession of thousands of pounds-worth of cannabis

A CANNABIS warehouseman was warned “all options were open” as he admitted possession of the class B drug.
Kieran Steptoe, 20, was arrested when police went through the door of a Liden terraced home in February. The raid was part of a series of warrants targeting an east Swindon drugs gang.
At an earlier court hearing, magistrates heard that officers found an estimated 10kg of cannabis in vacuum-packed bags at the foot of a bed at a house in Tansley Moor, Liden, on February 25.
The cannabis was worth up to £100,000 on the street if sold in 1g deals. ....

A MAN has been given another chance to obtain a pre-sentence report – after he failed to get the letter from the probation service in time.
Manjit Multani, 41, of Bailbrook Lane, Bath, had been expected to be sentenced at Swindon Crown Court on Friday for assault causing actual bodily harm and witness intimidation in Trowbridge. The offences date back to 2018 and 2019.
But Alex Daymond, defending, asked Recorder Roger Harris to consider adjourning the case for a further opportunity for his client to be interviewed by the probation service for a pre-sentence report. ....
