(Michael Charles Cole/CBC) An estimated 800 people took part in a protest on Sunday to demand that the city drop an application for a court injunction against a Toronto carpenter who has built dozens of tiny shelters for unhoused people. Over several hours, protesters left notices on a cardboard cutout of Mayor John Tory outside his condo. The notices indicate that the protesters support residents of encampments in city parks and oppose the application, which was filed in Ontario Superior Court on Feb. 12 against Khaleel Seivwright. ....
