This legislative update from Rep. Houghton touches upon unemployment insurance and the Restaurant Revitalization Fund

Vermont weather is always a source of conversation and it has not disappointed so far in April, but I am hopeful we have finally turned the corner to spring. We are also turning the corner in the legislative session and are seeing the end draw near. Which means a lot of activity in committees and the House floor. There is no way to encompass everything in this short space but you can follow and watch the work by streaming Vermont House of Representatives - YouTube.
Rep. Dolan and I look forward to hearing from residents so please do not hesitate to reach out with opportunities, concerns, or questions. Our contact information is: [email protected] or [email protected]. ....

On Earth Day 2021, we’re paying special attention to the intersection of climate and gender justice. We believe that there is no gender justice without climate justice, and there is no climate justice without gender justice. Green: Interstate Nurse Licensure Compact offers flexibility | Vermont Business Magazine

Tue, 04/20/2021 - 2:00pm tim
by Devon Green, Vice President of Government Relations, VAHHS Last week, the House Government Operations Committee took testimony on S.48. The Interstate Nurse Licensure Compact is an important health care workforce initiative and a key recommendation from the Rural Health Services Task Force 2020 Report. Under the compact, nurses can apply for a license in one compact state and have access to all the other compact states without applying for separate licenses, which is an appealing option for new graduates. Maine and New Hampshire are currently compact states and New York and Massachusetts have bills pending in the legislature. ....
