Deputy Mayor Jon Raven on Loganlea Road Meadowbrook residents, traders and users of Loganlea Road will benefit from a change in work schedules on a major health and well-being project. The Loganlea Road Healthy Street project in Meadowbrook is designed to better connect Logan Hospital to nearby medical and retail precincts. The project involves significant upgrades to Loganlea Road to improve pedestrian and cyclist access, enhance amenity, and stimulate investment within the centre, encouraging health and wellness. Work, which began last month, has been conducted nightly from Monday to Saturday. However, to reduce impact on weekend trade, work will now be carried out from Sunday night to Friday morning. ....

On Friday, April 23rd at 8:30 a.m., artists will check in at the Seguin Art League building at 104 South Austin Street and then disburse throughout downtown Seguin to begin painting. The theme for the paint out is “Anything Seguin” and artists are encouraged to paint the different landmarks and landscapes found in downtown. All painting media are acceptable, including pastel, pen and ink, and pencil. All participating artists will have until 5 p.m. that day to complete their artwork before returning it to the Art League building to be judged and dry overnight.
