Five more creditors pile in with claims against online payment platform. The High Court at Auckland has placed online payments platform NF Global in the hands of liquidators after the company and its overseas shareholder failed to pay existing creditors almost $17 million. And that debt is increasing, with at least five more international creditors coming out of the woodwork claiming they too are owed money. Associate judge Roger Bell in March ordered NF Global to clear its liabilities by April 23 or be placed in the hands of PwC’s John Fisk and Marcus McMillan, after the online payments platform claimed it had the financial backing of its London-headquartered owner, Starboard ....

The Auckland High Court Russians, Italians, and the former owner of the Leeds United Football club want their $17m back from a small Auckland company. NF Global, directed by Auckland resident Claude Oberto, has been given until April by the High Court in Auckland to repay entities connected to the international businessmen. Associate Judge Roger Bell, in a judgment released this week, said the company s balance sheet showed it owed customers $11m and had a negative equity. Creditors in this case are some $16.8m.it may be wondered how many other customers NF Global has besides those in this case, he said. ....
Bigger turn-out for March powerboat regatta TT Powerboat Association executive member Roger Bell. - ROGER Bell, TTPBA director of public relations and international racing, says next month’s second regatta of the 2021 National Championship season promises to bring more and better-prepared craft. The first event was held in the Gulf of Paria earlier this month and saw about a dozen boats ready to line up, a couple of which experienced mechanical problems shortly into competition. There were several notable absences in Mr Solo, Hammertime and Motul Monster, as well as some vessels from Tobago, owing to logistical issues. Speaking on a 30-minute video highlight production created by the TTPBA, which it recently uploaded to Youtube to officially launch its channel, Bell addressed the issues, saying, “Last year was rough with covid. We are still going through covid protocols but we have been allowed to put on our championship outside in the gulf.” He said so ....
Sun Journal “Live from Mali, West Africa” with Souleymane (Solo) Sana was presented via Zoom to students, in school and at home, in grades 3 through five at Bangert Elementary School on Thursday, Feb 25. The event was by Atlantic Dance Theatre, a New Bern nonprofit service organization for dance that has provided dance education programming for public schools across North Carolina over a span of 25 years. The class learned an African dance and viewed a dance performed by Solo. Students also learned about African musical instruments and were able to ask questions about life in Mali such as what kind of shoes do they wear and what type of clothing do they wear to keep cool in Mali. ....
