That includes free training and support specifically for multifamily projects a critical opportunity for reducing energy use in the region. In hopes to draw contractors back to weatherization, Rob Burr, Residential program manager at Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) states that “More and more people are looking for ways to improve comfort, save energy and reduce their utility bills, and they’re looking for trusted, experienced professionals to help them do it. Clearsprings Ready Homes, owned by Essex businessman Graham King, runs Napier barracks in Kent, where hundreds of asylum seekers have told of poor conditions and going without heating and drinking water after a fire. Government disclosures show that the company has two 10-year contracts worth up to £1bn to operate asylum accommodation in Wales and the south until 2029. ....
