PMC says transfer not complete
Residents of Wagholi continue to be in a fix over civic issues remaining unattended once again. Earlier, when they were a part of the
Zilla Parishad (ZP), a lot of their issues could not be resolved as the gram panchayat said it did not have the wherewithal to do so. Now, as the area has merged into
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), they have been told to wait till the transfer is finished. This has left residents hanging in the balance, with no authority even prepared to work on their problems. Meanwhile, PMC has claimed that onground work has started.

PMC internal audit notices over 100 officials taking transport allowance and using office vehicles for daily transport, visits; as inter-dept blame game erupts, amounts to be recovered from their salaries
Our civic officials don’t seem to be ‘conveying’ the right message to citizens. In an internal audit of various departments,
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has noticed that there are over 100 cases wherein officials have been claiming a transport allowance and still using office vehicles for daily transport and visits.
An inquiry will now list out all such officials using dual benefits, to recover the amount from their salaries since the month of vehicle allotment. PMC further plans to discontinue their transport allowance until that official is utilising government vehicles.
A group of citizens working towards COVID-19 vaccination of the underprivileged people has now extended its reach to the transgender community in Maharashtra s Pune city. As part of the VaxAll Initiative , 169 transgenders were vaccinated at a private hospital here on Monday, an official from the medical facility said. The volunteers group has set up an exclusive vaccination centre at the Sancheti Hospital here for the transgender community from July 12 to 15. An outreach programme is in place to spread awareness among the transgender community members and ensure most of them get vaccinated via this camp, the group said in a statement.
