SCHENECTADY - The city s fortunes were boosted Friday with word from the state that it will get $10 million to support 13 projects from building conversions to saving historic structures to a street extension.
The money is coming from the Downtown Revitalization Initiative meant to create links between the city s downtown and waterfront developments, create mixed-used spaces and enhance the local arts scene, according to Friday s announcement from Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo s office. ....

Cuomo today announced 13 projects in Schenectady that will create connections between the city s growing downtown and waterfront developments, transform existing buildings to create mixed-used spaces, and enhance the local arts scene.
