The convoy of roughly 30 vehicles was headed to the site of the city’s new sewage pump station, the city’s largest ongoing infrastructure project and one nearly a decade in the making. Work is underway on replacing the current station along the Mohawk River, which was breached by flood waters during Tropical Storm Irene in 2011 and later slapped with a state Department of Conservation consent order requiring the city to bring mechanical components above the floodplain. ....
