(WKBW) â Matthew Paulk may be just 24 years old, but this graduate of City Honors in Buffalo has already accomplished a lot. After several years of hard work, Paulk has started a non-profit that helps senior citizens in our community. Itâs called Charities Pooled Trust â and it helps them navigate through the confusing world of health care benefits, and understand what services they re eligible to receive. ....

With at least 280 people estimated to be living outside in Lawrence, city and county leaders are preparing for a deeper discussion about the resources and coordination needed to address the issue of homelessness. How do you potentially build a temporary shelter for folks who may be in transition so it may lead to future opportunities down the road? Derek Rogers, director of the Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department, said. That answer is Camp Woody, a permitted campsite at Woody Park in Lawrence, Kansas.
