He said the deer had been there for several days and animals were eating it. He asked that the service department return to his property to clean the blood. He was advised it was his property and his responsibility, but he said he would be exposed to disease. The service department subsequently returned to the man’s home to help remove the blood. The man said he was the animal warden for the city in the 1970s and wanted a new animal warden reinstated. He was advised to speak with city council.

She contacted officers before opening it because she had received a package with a dead rodent in it two weeks earlier while working at the Willowick branch. Officers opened it to find a dead mouse in a trap. The sender was listed as a Lyndhurst resident, but his name did not match the address on the envelope. The employee said the package that came to the other location was sent after she had shut down an account.
