It also recommended reducing planned funding for a programme aimed at “activating” public spaces, from $180,000 to just $80,000. The proposals were made in response to public feedback on the Aho Tini programme, which recommended the money be redirected towards the council’s arts and culture fund that supports paid, independent artists and groups. ....
