Summit School back to square one after PMSD denies another charter proposal The proposed Summit Charter School is back to square one, again. Pocono Mountain School District held a special board meeting on Feb. 24 during which the board voted yet again to deny the proposed school s charter. Summit School has applied for a charter multiple times over the past two years. . The district noted several concerns about the application. “Summit mentions a bilateral fit (in its application), which is great for the parents, students and school, but a bilateral fit does not belong in the charter school application and this was explained clearly in previous applications, PMSD board president Rusty Johnson said in his opening statement. ....
