Spindle City Fest celebration slated for June 5

FALL RIVER The Narrows Center for the Arts announces the return of its Spindle City Fest on Saturday, June 5. The free event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be held at the nearby Gates of the City on Ponta Delgada Boulevard.
Spindle City Fest is a family-centric event that celebrates art, music, food, and fun. “The Narrows Center is thrilled to be back in the business of bringing people together and celebrating the nurturing and redemptive powers of the arts,” said Patrick Norton, executive director of the Narrows. “Spindle City Fest is a great way for us to celebrate all that is right in the world.” ....

Interim CIO permanently replaces Jeremy Crigler, who left in September after 12 years at the helm.
Tulane University has promoted Richard Chau to the position of chief investment officer to oversee the school’s investment management office, which runs the university’s $1.4 billion endowment and related long-term investment assets.
Chau succeeds former CIO Jeremy Crigler, who retired last September. Prior to being named interim CIO last fall, Chau, who joined Tulane’s endowment office in 2013, was responsible for building and managing the private equity and real assets portfolios. His work included adding investment managers specializing in venture capital, growth equity, buyouts, distressed, energy and real estate, as well as expanding the endowment’s international exposure, particularly in Asia. He also contributed to the endowment’s investment strategy and policy, asset allocation, portfolio construction, reporting, risk manage ....

Richard Chau named Tulane University's new chief investment officer

Tulane University has appointed Richard Chau as its new chief investment officer (CIO). Chau, who officially began his appointment on May 11, oversees Tulane’s Investment Management Office, which is responsible for managing the university’s endowment and related long-term investment assets. The endowment is unique among the university s revenue streams because it provides perpetual support for students, both current and prospective. Chau replaces longtime CIO Jeremy Crigler, who retired last fall.
Chau joined Tulane’s endowment office in 2013 and has been responsible for building and managing the endowment’s private equity and real assets portfolios. This included adding investment managers in areas such as venture capital, growth equity, buyouts, distressed, energy and real estate and pushing to expand the endowment’s international exposure, particularly in Asia.
