It was a strange year for San Diego Comic-Con. This year marked the second in a row where in-person festivities were canceled for pandemic-related reasons, but while 2020’s event had the novelty and fresh horror of a lockdown people still hadn’t entirely adjusted to, 2021’s quarantine-dictated Zoom panels felt simultaneously overly-familiar
and laced with existential dread.
Points to
Bob’s Burgers then for addressing the issue straight out of the gate. After moderator (and show creator, and co-showrunner) Loren Bouchard introduced the panel’s participants the main voice cast and Nora Smith, writer and co-showrunner he talked about how he wasn’t going to ask anyone how they dealt with the challenges of working from home: “It’s boring to talk about recording from home, I won’t even get into it.”

Though fans of
Bob’s Burgers have a new season to look forward to, many have been wondering what’s going on with the
Bob’s Burgers movie that was announced back in 2019 before it, like many productions, was waylaid by the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con @ Home, series creator Loren Bouchard sat down with the show’s creative team to discuss season 12 and share some promising updates on the Belcher family’s cinematic debut.
Throughout the
Bob’s Burgers panel, Bouchard and the rest of the team all emphasised how working remotely during covid-19 presented a number of challenges for them things that fans of the show won’t be able to pick up on when the new season premieres later this year. But Bouchard admitted that he’s very much looking forward to being able to work with the team in person again so that they can tap into their collective creative energy.

Visiting all 12 restaurants in the Restaurant Rumble in five days was not feasible, so I decided to stay in my wheelhouse.
I am a burger guy. More often than not, I order a cheeseburger at restaurants. Big Dummy’s is one of four restaurants in Restaurant Rumble offering a burger and I opted to visit a place I had yet to visit since arriving in Mitchell 2 1/2 years ago.
