The Jaguars move to 27-17 on the year, while the Mountaineers fall to 26-18. South Alabama struck first in the bottom of the second, hitting back-to-back singles to set up for a double by Bailey Welch to bring in the first two runs of the game. The third inning saw another Jaguar run, as Kennedy Cronan doubled to bring in Caroline Nichols who reached safely on a single. Mackenzie Brasher also attempted to score on the play but was thrown out at home. ....

Inclement weather in the area early in the ballgame forced an unusual, strange set of circumstances for the Hurricanes and the Mountaineers.
