Today, the B.C. Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) issued its weekly situation report for January 31 to February 6 (Week 5). Within the specified period, the report notes that there were decreases in cases in Interior Health and Vancouver Coastal Health while cases in other health regions remained stable. There were also decreases in hospitalized cases (from 213 cases in Week 2 to 152 cases in Week 5) and the number of deaths (72 deaths in Week 3 to 44 deaths in Week 5) in the weeks prior to February 6 (see graph below). ....
PARKERSBURG The Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports Jan. 26: Krysti Lee Johnson, 30, 804 Redhill Road Apt. 4, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving with a suspended license and no insurance and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond. Dylan Wesley Malthaner, 18, 2609 Dutch Central Road, Rockport, was arraigned on a child abuse charge and was released on a $3,000 cash bond. Clinton Blair Owens, 58, 1306 Grand View Manor, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of driving with a revoked license and defective equipment and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond. Curtis Leon Davis Jr., 47, homeless, was arraigned on charges of obstruction and possession of a controlled substance and is being held on a $2,000 surety bond. ....

Alongside the renovations, the province says they will add 236 beds to facilities in the central zone, including 44 at Northwood on top of the 100 they previously removed. Those beds will be placed in a new location while the existing building is maintained. The other 192 beds will be determined through the tender process, the release said.
