LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas softball team (22-23, 2-13 Big 12) will wrap-up regular-season action this weekend hosting Iowa State (28-19, 3-12 Big 12) at Arrocha Ballpark. The three-game series is scheduled to begin on Friday, May 7 at 6 p.m. Action continues on Saturday, May 8 at 2 p.m., before concluding on Sunday, May 9 at noon. The weekend’s games will be available to watch on the Big 12 NOW on ESPN+. Leif Lesic will be on the call doing play-by-play all weekend. He will be joined by Jill Dorsey Hall on Friday and Saturday. WACO, Texas – Morgyn Wynne hit two home runs and Lyric Moore recorded one as the Kansas softball team dropped two games to Baylor on Sunday afternoon at Getterman Stadium. The first game was a conclusion of action that began on Saturday afternoon that was postponed due to weather. Kansas had a late rally going in the top of the seventh but ultimately fell, 6-5 to the Lady Bears. The Jayhawks attempted to bounce back in the series finale but fell 6-1 in seven innings. With the two losses, Kansas falls to 22-23 on the season and 2-13 in the Big 12. Baylor improves to 27-15 overall and 8-6 in the Big 12. ....
AUSTIN, Texas – Kansas softball scored three runs in the second and tied the game with five runs in the fifth but it wasn’t enough as the Jayhawks fell to No. 9 Texas in the series finale on Sunday afternoon, 10-8. Following the loss, Kansas falls to 22-20 overall and 2-10 in the Big 12. Texas improves to 35-6 and 9-3 in Big 12 play. Macy Omli led the Jayhawks going 2-for-4 from the plate and brought in a career-high four RBIs. Texas got on the board in the bottom of the first inning with a single run crossing home but KU struck back quick. ....

Action continues Thursday with a single game against the Jackrabbits before capping the weekend with single games against the University of Northern Iowa on Friday and Saturday. The Jayhawks are coming off a 4-1 performance last weekend at the Wooo Pig Classic and are 8-2 in the last 10 games played.
