Chandigarh: The ruling Congress in Punjab won the Municipal Corporation Elections in Mohali on Thursday by bagging 37 of the 50 wards. The final result suggests that the Congress registered victory in 37 wards, while Independents won in the remaining 13.
With today’s result, the Congress has registered victory in seven municipal corporations and emerged as the leading party in the Moga municipal corporation, where no party managed to get a clear majority.

Amritsar: The Congress won six municipal corporations and emerged as the largest party in the seventh, sweeping the urban body polls in Punjab on Wednesday. It also won 107 of the 109 municipal councils in Punjab. The final results for the recently-conducted Punjab Municipal election will be announced today itself.
