Scores of passengers were stranded at the Ludhiana railway station on Sunday as 51 trains were diverted and several were cancelled after a stationary goods train was hit from behind by another at Sirhind railway station. The collision caused the engine of one of them to flip over to another track. Passengers share their experiences of being stranded for hours due to the train mishap.
Khanna Police arrested five drug peddlers and recovered 150 kilograms of poppy husk. The accused were identified as Lovedeep Singh, Surinder Kumar, Lucky, Subhash Kumar, and Rajat Kumar of Doraha. They were booked under the NDPS Act and police recovered Rs 80,000 drug money from them.
