Broncos finish winless against Wheat Kings April 22, 2021 The Swift Current Broncos finished without a win against the Brandon Wheat Kings this season after a 6-1 loss on Wednesday. Five different players scored for the Wheat Kings at they finished three-for-six on the power play at the Subway Hub Centre in Regina. Nolan Ritchie scored twice, while Lynden McCallum, Rylan Thiessen, Brett Hyland, and Vincent Iorio also scored for the Wheat Kings, who improved to 16-3-2-0 to lead the East Division. Rookie Mathew Ward scored the Broncos only goal on the power play in the second period. Isaac Poulter made 27 saves in a losing cause for the Broncos. WHL Roundup: Ridly Greig lifts Wheat Kings over Raiders for another win April 5, 2021 FacebookTwitterEmail REGINA - Ridly Greig scored the winning goal and tacked on an assist as the Brandon Wheat Kings downed the Prince Albert Raiders 3-2 on Monday in Western Hockey League play. Greig broke a 2-2 tie with a short-handed goal at 9:27 of the third period to help Brandon extend its win streak to seven games. Jake Chiasson and Nolan Ritchie also found the back of the net for the Wheat Kings (10-2-1), who got 31 saves from Ethan Kruger. Justin Nachbaur had a pair of goals for the Raiders (4-7-2), while Max Paddock stopped 22-of-25 shots. ....
