After spending the last eight months on the ice in various locations, Prince Albert’s Braden Schneider has finally got a chance to relax and look back on what was easily the craziest year in his hockey career to date.
“It’s been nice to have a chance to wind down and relax, hit up the golf course and even go to the lake,” Schneider said. “It was a whirlwind season and I’m really lucky that I had the opportunity to play, but it’s nice to get some rest here as I look forward to what’s hopefully going to be more of a normal year next season.

The hockey season might not be over yet for Prince Albert’s Braden Schneider.
According to a Tweet from TSN’s Darren Dreger on Tuesday afternoon, the 19-year-old defenceman will be among the players on Canada’s roster for the 2021 IIHF World Men’s Hockey Championship, which will be held from May 21 to June 6 in Riga, Latvia.
The 19th overall selection in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers, Schneider is coming off a stellar campaign in the East Division hub as the captain for the Brandon Wheat Kings.
He posted 27 points in 22 games in Regina to help his team win their first division title since 2016.
