Cambodia MoEYS organised a national consultation on ESD for 2030 Country Initiative

As a follow-up to the UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development held on 17-19 May 2021, and in line with the Berlin Declaration, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia and the UNESCO Phnom Penh Office co-organized a national consultation on ESD for 2030 on 5 July 2021. Over 180 participants from MoEYS, concerned government ministries, development partners, representatives from NGOs, universities, education institutes took part in the online event.
The national consultation discussed the needs, achievements, challenges, available resources and concrete implementation plans of the new ESD for 2030 framework and agreed on the Country Initiative for ESD 2030 around its five Priority Action Areas, namely (1) Advancing policy; (2) Transforming learning environments; (3) Building capacities of educators; (4) Empowering and mobilizing youth; and (5) Accelerating local level actions. NCI awards Promising Practice funds to five north country organizations


WATERTOWN — Five regional organizations were recently awarded grant funding to implement promising strategies to fill physical, social, and behavioral health care needs in the community.
North Country Initiative used $175,000 in remaining funding from the New York State Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment program to invest in Promising Practices funds that continue the projects implemented as part of the program before it ended in March 2020. Criteria for the awards came after a poll from the summer of 2020 of regional health care providers asked to provide feedback on the most pressing health issues in the tri-county area.
Of the 60 issues identified, 14 were earmarked for Promising Practices funding within six categories: prevent and manage chronic disease; promote mental and behavioral well-being; prevent communicable diseases; promote healthy infants and children; promote geriatric and end-of-life care; and strengthen health care infrastructure and delivery. ....
