Scam alert LOCK HAVEN According to the Lock Haven Police Department’s Facebook page, it has received several fraud/theft complaints regarding gift cards. Police say that if someone text or emails you and asks you to purchase any gift cards then send pictures of the codes, this is a scam. The emails or texts will appear to come from someone you know but it’s not really them. The most common gift cards requested are Google Play and Apple. One-vehicle crash MILL HALL A one-vehicle crash was investigated by state police at Lamar on April 27. According to police, Alyssa Simmons, 20, of Loganton was traveling South on Back Lane, a paved, one-lane roadway. Police say that Simmons lost control of her 2005 Subaru Legacy and struck s metal trailer. Following that impact, she continued on, hitting a tree and a wood pile. She then traveled North on Skaar Lane before making a left turn onto Creek Road.

From Mirror staff reports Plans to construct a machine shop in Snyder Township received a positive review Thursday by Blair County Planning Commission members. Scott Breindel of Deadluck Manufacturing plans to construct a 4,000-square-foot machine shop at South Eagle Valley Road and Templeton Drive. In addition to the proposed building, paved parking and various landscaping will be provided. Additionally, a 2,140-square-foot building addition was shown adjacent to the proposed building. However, the addition will not be constructed at this time and was shown for future planning purposes. Access to the site will be through a 24-foot wide bidirectional driveway connection to South Eagle Valley Road, continuing to a 24-foot wide parking lot aisle and a maximum 30.1-foot-wide parking area along the southwest side of the site, said Jamie L. Klink, regional planner.

with theft at Weis LOCK HAVEN Twins Christen Marie and Megan Jayne Probst waived their right to a preliminary hearing this morning and had all charges bound over to the next level of court. Christen and Megan Probst, 31 of Lock Haven, were both charged by Lock Haven City Police with retail theft and criminal conspiracy to commit retail theft for incidents that took place between August 1 and August 29, 2020 at Weis Markets in Lock Haven. Christen was charged with 14 counts of retail theft and 13 counts of conspiracy to commit retail theft with her sister Megan. Megan was charged with 13 counts of retail theft and 13 counts of conspiracy to commit retail theft with her sister, Christen.

DUI alleged WILLIAMSPORT Brad Smith, 30, of Lock Haven, was charged with under the influence after a state trooper stopped his pickup truck near East Third Street and Westminster Drive at 1:45 a.m. on Sept. 20. Police said Smith crossed the lane designator three times in a mile. Smith admitted consuming a few beers at a local bar, police said. Drug arrest BELLEFONTE A drug arrest was made at Rutter’s convenience store in Bellefonte on March 8, state police at Rockview report. According to police, state police officers observed two wanted individuals inside the convenience store. Police arrested Trever McMullen, 32, of Bellefonte for possession of methamphetamine and heroin.

Drug possession BELLEFONTE A man was investigated for drug possession by state police at Rockview on 9000 Block South Eagle Valley Road in Worth Twp. at 8:26 p.m. on March 5. William Frederick Fritz had his 2006 Ford Focus pulled over by police during a traffic stop. According to police, Fritz admitted to having drugs and paraphernalia in his vehicle. Charges are pending lab results. Possession of drugs BELLEFONTE A girl was arrested for possession of drugs and paraphernalia on 116 Rusty Lane by state police at Rockview at 11:02 a.m. March 4. Amanda Nevel, 18, of Philipsburg, allegedly claimed possession of the drugs and paraphernalia that was in plain view of police. According to police, they were there to assist with Children and Youth Services with an in-home incident. A charge for possession of drug paraphernalia is currently pending.
