Under Siege #1 Contenders Match Finalized on Impact Wrestling Under Siege #1 Contenders Match Finalized on Impact Wrestling Posted on Chris Bey, Matt Cardona, Sami Callihan, Chris Sabin, Trey Miguel, and Moose will compete in a six-way match at Impact Wrestling s next Impact Plus special, Under Seige, to determine the number one contender for Kenny Omega s Impact Championship. The lineup was decided in a series of qualifying matches ending on this week s episode of Impact Wrestling, where Sabin defeated Rhino, Trey Miguel beat Rohit Raju, and Moose defeated James Storm. The winner o the six-way match at Under Seige will go on to face AEW star Omega for the belt, which he won at Impact Rebellion from Rich Swann. If Moose walks away with the Under Seige victory, he might have a chance of taking down Omega. If not, the winner will likely be cannon fodder for the Belt Collector. ....
The Good Brothers weren’t able to recapture the Tag Team Championships at Impact Rebellion, and Karl Anderson thanks it was the right move. Anderson and Doc Gallows were defeated by FinJuice at Rebellion in their rematch for the titles, and the two discussed it on the latest episode of Talk’n Shop. “I think it’s a great idea that we don’t get them,” Anderson said (per Fightful). He noted that they already have plenty of accomplishments as a team and it was better to keep them on the NJPW team right now. Gallows added that the show was a big success financially, noting, “The highest buy rate in IMPACT Wrestling history, I heard it come out of Don Callis’ mouth.” Anderson later noted that it was actually the second-biggest, behind only Slammiversary 2020. ....

Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T spoke on the latest episode of the Hall of Fame Podcast about Impact deciding to put their world championship belt on an AEW wrestler, saying it was a major mistake. Booker believes the company deciding to put the title on Omega does absolutely nothing for Impact. “I don’t know what Impact is thinking right now,” Booker said. “Maybe they’re thinking about the rub. It’s a cool moment for AEW, it’s not a cool moment for Impact wrestling unless I own both companies and I was working the fans at the same time with both of my companies. For Rich Swann to go out and lose the title to Kenny Omega, it does absolutely nothing in my opinion [for Impact].” ....
Mauro Ranallo is one of combat sports most well-known announcers, and he’s done a lot of pro wrestling work over his legendary career. His most high profile wrestling gig was a bit of a roller coaster, to put it mildly. It probably wouldn’t have surprised anyone if the Bi-Polar Rock ‘n’ Roller stuck to MMA and boxing work for the foreseeable future after his time with WWE. But he was lured back to pro graps by his friend Scott D’Amore. Ranallo called the main event of last Sunday’s Impact Rebellion PPV, which saw AEW World champ Kenny Omega beat Rich Swann to add the Impact title to his collection (Omega is also AAA Mega champ). ....
