Eric Bischoff Believes Impact Will Be Worse Off After AEW Relationship Ends (Photo Credit: Impact) On the latest episode of the 83 Weeks Podcast, Eric Bischoff continued a conversation he had on another podcast about the relationship between AEW and Impact. Bischoff reiterated his sentiment that nobody cares about the relationship between the two wrestling companies and shared that once AEW stops the relationship, Impact will be worse off than they started. “I don’t watch the Impact product, I just can’t,” Bischoff said. “Nobody does give a f . I guess it’s presumably some kind of a benefit to Impact to have talent from AEW come over and participate on their show, just nobody cares. Nobody is going to watch it and I’m sure the action is good, I’m sure there’s some great matches. I don’t watch it but I’m guessing there’s some great matches that take place, if you’re a fan of it, then great. ....
While the totals have yet to be calculated, Dave Meltzer reported in this week s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that last Sunday s Impact Rebellion pay-per-view is looking to be one of their most successful in years. Headlined by Kenny Omega vs. Rich Swann in a title vs. title encounter, Meltzer said the streaming numbers at the start of the PPV were both the largest in company history and ahead of the total amount of PPV buys for any Impact show since Anthem acquired a majority interest from Dixie Carter s group in January 2017. Meltzer spoke with one major traditional PPV provider who said that for their company, Rebellion did 2x what January s Hard To Kill did and 9x the buys of Bound For Glory. Meltzer said that late traditional TV PPV buys could add another ten percent when things are all said and done. ....
Jordynne Grace Talks Body Positivity Shoot With Other Wrestlers Impact Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champion Jordynne Grace recently put together a body positivity photo shoot with several indie wrestlers. The shoot was held during WrestleMania 37 Weekend in Tampa, featuring Grace and 10 other wrestlers. Grace self-funded the project, booked space at a hotel and hired a photographer, Harry Aaron of MLW. This was volunteer-based for the talents involved, and all those who participated received the photos from their individual shoots. The shoot ran for 6 hours on Sunday, April 11 with Grace working as a model and as the liaison for each talent. Wrestlers featured were Grace, Nevaeh Chantelle, Katalina Perez, Lady Frost, Faye Jackson, Holidead, Davienne, Mazzerati, Alejandra Lion, Becca and Dillon McQueen, the one male talent. ....
Kenny Omega Bringing The Impact Wrestling World Title To AEW Dynamite Tonight AEW has acknowledged World Champion Kenny Omega winning the Impact Wrestling World Title for just the second time this week. As noted, Omega defeated Rich Swann in the Title vs. Title main event of Sunday’s Impact Rebellion pay-per-view. He will have his celebration ceremony during Thursday’s Impact episode on AXS TV, but now it’s been announced that Omega will also appear on AEW Dynamite tonight. AEW has announced that we’ll hear from Omega on tonight’s Dynamite. As seen in the graphic below, they billed him as the AAA Mega Champion, Impact World Champion and AEW World Champion. It looks like Omega will be bringing all of his gold to Daily’s Place for tonight’s show. ....
