The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is looking for an armed and dangerous 70-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of two hunters at a state lake early Monday morning.
Chance Black, 26, and Zachery Grooms, 25, both of Weakley County were shot dead at Reelfoot Lake in the northwest corner of Tennessee. The TBI determined David Vowell of Martin was the person of interest in the double murder.
A national manhunt is over after a Tennessee man suspected of killing two duck hunters last week was found dead over the weekend.
Just after 3 p.m. Saturday, investigators found the body of 70-year-old David Vowell of Martin, Tenn., at Reelfoot Lake. Vowell’s body was found near where the earlier incident occurred.
Killed last Monday from a duck blind were 27-year-old Chance Black and 26-year-old Zachery Grooms. Both men were from Tennessee. A motive for the shootings has not been reported.

OBION COUNTY, Tenn. The manhunt for a 70-year-old suspect in the murders of two duck hunters ended Saturday afternoon after the man’s body was found in a Tennessee lake, investigators said.
David Vowell, of Martin, Tenn., had been considered armed and dangerous.
His body was discovered around 3 p.m. in the murky waters of Reelfoot Lake in Obion County, near the original crime scene where Chance Black, 26, and Zachary Grooms, 25, were shot Monday, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said.
Investigators said an autopsy was planned to determine the cause of death.
