The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is looking for an armed and dangerous 70-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of two hunters at a state lake early Monday morning.
Chance Black, 26, and Zachery Grooms, 25, both of Weakley County were shot dead at Reelfoot Lake in the northwest corner of Tennessee. The TBI determined David Vowell of Martin was the person of interest in the double murder. ....

A 70-year-old man accused of killing two duck hunters in Tennessee has been found dead near the same spot where their bodies were recovered.
David Vowell, 70, a local businessman, was found dead in Reelfoot Lake around 3pm local time on Saturday, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said. A cause of death wasn’t immediately announced, and the police said they will run an autopsy on his body.
Vowell was wanted by five different agencies and was considered armed and dangerous, as a suspect in the murder of two men who were found dead on Monday last week. ....

The devastating news swept the hunting community along with the area of Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee. Authorities had been looking for David Vowell, as a person of interest, after duck hunters Chance Black, and Zachery Grooms, were found dead at the north end of the Obion County lake.
USA Today reported that Jeffrey Crabtree, who was hunting with Black and Grooms, told investigators that Vowell drove his boat to the trio’s blind, knocked on the door and shot Grooms when he opened the door. Black was also shot before Crabtree wrestled the gun from Vowell and hit Vowell in the face with the butt end of the weapon, knocking him temporarily unconscious. ....

OBION COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) â The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said 70-year-old murder suspect David Vowell was found dead this afternoon.
Law enforcement found his body in Reelfoot Lake in Obion County around 3 p.m. Saturday.
He s accused of killing 26-year-old Chance Black and 25-year-old Zachery Grooms of Weakley County.
Authorities charged him with two counts of first degree murder on Tuesday.
TBI agents, along with officers from Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and Madison County Fire started the search for him around the Reelfoot Lake area yesterday. ....
