Congressman Jerrold Nadler, the Chair of the House Judiciary Committee who represents western parts of Brooklyn and Manhattan (10th CD) has endorsed Assemblymember Jo Anne Simon (52nd AD) for Brooklyn Borough President. “I’ve always known Jo Anne Simon to be a tenacious advocate who truly wants to help all New Yorkers, and I’m proud to endorse her for Brooklyn Borough President,” he said, before praising Simon as “a fearless leader in our community” who not only speaks out against discrimination, hate and inequality, but has also enacted “groundbreaking legislation on gun violence prevention, education equity, climate change, disability rights, and more.” ....
Happening this week in and around Cecil County ⦠Itâs SO Lolaâs cut the ribbon and opened its doors Saturday morning on the newest venture, a boutique that focuses on special occasions and party attire. âThis was a warehouse,â Nancy Sapp, owner of the new shop off of South Third Street in Oxford, said moments after the official opening. Sapp said she and others working the boutique got tired of lugging the ornate dresses and accessories from the warehouse to the store, also on Third Street. During the pandemic the work was done to turn the former warehouse into a boutique full of dresses for prom, weddings, cocktail parties, and more in sizes from 000 to 26 in stock. ....
