Regarding “Impeaching Trump is the only option,” (A14, Jan. 13): In a few days there will be a transition of power in the U.S. and Donald Trump will be out. Let’s focus on the future and let him go in peace. Let’s appreciate the good things he has done as president without being vindictive.

I regret the distraction that will result from the impeachment of Donald Trump, but I believe that doing the right thing overrules the desire to “move on,” which I prefer to call “sweeping it under the rug.”
