Former Hudson Selectman George McGee remembered for big smile, dedication to Hudson


HUDSON Each time George McGee entered town hall, Vic’s Diner, Main Street Bagel Factory or the many other Hudson establishments he frequented, he brought with him a bright smile and infectious energy.
“He’s the only guy I know who woke up with a big smile on his face,” said Hudson businessman Arthur Redding, who referred to McGee as a second father. “He enjoyed life.”
McGee, who served on the board of selectmen for 16 years in the 1970s and 1980s, always greeted his friends, employees at town hall and others with a smile and a handshake.
“He was full of life,” said Joseph Durant, chairman of the board of selectmen. “A spring in his step.” ....

Regarding “Impeaching Trump is the only option,” (A14, Jan. 13): In a few days there will be a transition of power in the U.S. and Donald Trump will be out. Let’s focus on the future and let him go in peace. Let’s appreciate the good things he has done as president without being vindictive.
