Doha: Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani chaired today the cabinet s regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan.
Cabinet approved the draft decision establishing the Artificial Intelligence Committee.
According to the project, a committee called the Artificial Intelligence Committee will be established at the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC).
The committee consists of three representatives of the MoTC, among them the head of the committee, a representative of Qatar Computing Research Institute as a vice-president, and a representative membership of each of the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Qatar Science and Technology Park, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar National Research Fund and Qatar Dev ....

Elementary Robotics, a developer of cameras for manufacturing inspection, said it has rolled out a new, cloud-based AI camera system designed for manufacturing and logistics. According to the company, its AI-based hardware and software uses machine learning and computer vision to make it easier for manufacturers to use computer vision to inspect products for defects and other problems. The company said its tools can be fed examples of particular flaws or be trained on what a product is supposed to look like and asked to identify abnormalities, rather than requiring the time consuming programming rules for identifying flaws which are traditionally used to find defects. ....
