Jackie Shcmidt’s love and passion for heritage properties truly started when she moved to Regina 21 years ago.
Over the course of her life, Schmidt, president of Heritage Regina, moved around a lot. Born in Kansas she found herself in Regina around the turn of the millennium. To her it was a great place to live and raise her daughters.

A Regina developer says now that his proposal to renovate and add to the Cook Residence failed before Regina city council, he and his partners are exploring their future options and that includes selling the home. ....

The proposal would see an addition built on the property, transforming the single family dwelling into a 16-unit condo with 24 below ground parking stalls and 10 above ground spots.
Coun. Jason Mancinelli (Ward 9)and Coun. Landon Mohl (Ward 10) were absent for the vote.
Ward 2 Coun. Bob Hawkins was characteristically unflinching in his support for the preservation of the city’s heritage properties.
