Jackie Shcmidt’s love and passion for heritage properties truly started when she moved to Regina 21 years ago.
Over the course of her life, Schmidt, president of Heritage Regina, moved around a lot. Born in Kansas she found herself in Regina around the turn of the millennium. To her it was a great place to live and raise her daughters.

Once in town she moved in to an old home the E.A. McCallum (2nd) Residence in the Lakeview neighbourhood.
I m disappointed by the decision done by council but I respect it.

A Regina developer says now that his proposal to renovate and add to the Cook Residence failed before Regina city council, he and his partners are exploring their future options and that includes selling the home.

After being saved from the wrecking ball in the summer, Regina’s Bagshaw Residence appears set for demolition.
On Wednesday city council voted 8-2 in favour of rescinding the property’s heritage status, clearing the way for the home in the Crescents neighbourhood to be destroyed.

Coun. Andrew Stevens (Ward 3) and Coun. Shanon Zachidniak (Ward 8) were the two dissenting votes. Coun. Daniel LeBlanc (Ward 6) declared a conflict of interest and removed himself from the meeting.
