We have all dined out on so many stories from those times, of her endless tales of then Minister of Health, Manto Tshabalala-Msimang, including the bizarre midnight phone calls of “where is Nono Simelela?” (to which she always wanted to say “woman, unless you think that Nono is sleeping next to me, how the do you expect me to know”) and “where is my speech?”, her meeting B ....

It is with profound sadness that Health-E News announces the passing of the organisation’s Board Chairperson, Ms Celicia Serenata after a lengthy illness. Ms Serenata passionately and diligently served the Board for almost a decade. She was committed to Health-e News, and contributed immensely to its stability. The quest to inform and educate marginalised communities about their right to health care and reporting on health issues in rural communities was close to her heart. Reporting from rural and marginalised communities is one of the key purposes of ....
