The FBI on Monday arrested a Cumberland County woman who encouraged an assault on a New York Times journalist during the U.S. Capitol riot on Jan. 6, according to a criminal complaint filed against her.
Sandra Pomeroy Weyer, of Mechanicsburg, allegedly videotaped the assault on the journalist, who is heard screaming on the video for about 10 seconds in an East Rotunda stairwell. The people assaulting her had taken her camera, and as she attempted to retrieve it, Weyer allegedly yelled, F -ing traitor, get the f - out and Get her out, mace her, as the woman descended the stairs, according to FBI documents.
