Average CEO pay falls at New Hampshire public companies

The average pay of CEOs at publicly traded companies in New Hampshire went down and average worker pay rose during the pandemic, though, in total, executives still were paid more than 58 times the median worker’s salary, according to proxy statements.
That’s a lower ratio than U.S. companies as a whole, CEO -to-worker pay ratio is over 300-1, as well as lower than the 68-1 ratio recorded among New Hampshire public companies in 2019.
For instance, Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, the for-profit hospital chain – which in New Hampshire owns Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Exeter Hospital and Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester – paid its CEO, Samuel N Hazen, $30.4 million, some 556 times the pay of its median worker. Bridgewater: Ware man injured in fiery crash on Forest Street

BRIDGEWATER  A Ware man was seriously injured Sunday night in Bridgewater when police say the speeding driver struck multiple trees and was ejected from his vehicle, which caught fire as a result of the impact.
The single-vehicle crash occurred about 8:30 p.m. near 554 Forest St.
The crash was witnessed by off-duty Bridgewater police K9 Officer Christopher Rondeau, who was travelling in the opposite direction,  Police Chief Christopher D. Delmonte and Acting Fire Chief Michael P. MacDermott said in a joint written statement. Officer Rondeau was able to drag the victim away from the fire, which was expanding to nearby brush and trees, and rendered first aid along with responding Officer Theo Barbetto. ....

Auburn man indicted on federal child porn charge a second time


A 35-year-old Auburn man who was on supervised release after being convicted in 2016 of receiving child pornography was indicted Wednesday by a federal grand jury on a new child pornography charge.
Christopher Rondeau, 35, will be arraigned in federal court in Worcester at a later date on a charge of possession of child pornography. Rondeau was initially arrested and charged on Nov. 6. He has been held without bail since being arraigned in November.
Rondeau was convicted in 2016 and sentenced to 68 months in prison followed by seven years of supervised release. He was released from federal custody in August 2019 and was on supervised release at the time of his November arrest. ....

Man Facing 2nd Child Pornography Charge To Get At Least 10 Years In Prison If Guilty

A sex offender allegedly found in possession of child pornography - again - is facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison if he’s found guilty.
On Wednesday, Dec. 30, Christopher Rondeau, 35, of School Street in Auburn, was indicted on one count of possession of child pornography, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts said. He was arrested on the charge on Nov. 6 and will be arraigned in federal court in Worcester at a later date.
Before his arrest, Rondeau worked at a Nagog Park business in Acton as well as a store or restaurant in a shopping plaza on Boston Turnpike in Shrewsbury, according to the Massachusetts Sex Offender Registry, where Rondeau is listed as a level 2 sex offender. ....
