FurEver Home raises more than $12,000 in livestream event

With a four-hour livestream full of games, treats and buckets of ice, FurEver Home Inc. raised more than $12,000 for its operations Monday.
The Fremont shelterâs Facebook Live fundraiser took place in conjunction with Kris Rotonda of Jordanâs Way, who is traveling to all 50 states to raise awareness for animal shelters.
âWe only have our nail-trimming going on, so weâve not had a lot of events to welcome the public to,â FurEver Home President Deb Newill said. âSo it was a godsend today to have Kris do this here and just have the public interact all day with us.â ....

GENESEE COUNTY, MI Boosters of the county’s Animal Control Department took pies in the face and ice buckets over the head Monday, Feb. 1, to help raise $7,775 to benefit the West Pasadena Avenue shelter.
Kris Rotonda, founder of Jordan’s Way Charities, hosted a four-hour fundraising drive for the facility on the Genesee County Animal Control Facebook page, bringing in the donations as part of his own 50-state tour aimed at making a difference in the lives of shelter animals.
“I think this is fabulous. It’s a great morale booster. It’s great for letting the public know what we’re doing here and how hard we work,” said Renea Kennedy, deputy director of the shelter. “It lets us have a little fun even though this is a very serious job. How local humane societies will receive fundraising help

During stops, Rotonda will interact with animals at the shelters and staff to complete fundraising goals.
Throughout the rest of the week, the tour will make stops at Parke-Vermillion, Clay and Greene County Humane Society.
We ll be using the donations for animal care as far as basic spray neuter vaccines adoptions and then anything that comes up medically wise, said Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society.
Jordan s Way is currently on a 50-stop tour across the country with Indiana being its 12th state.
