Local News: Greene County Humane Society to host fundraising event (1/26/21)

The Greene County Humane Society in Linton has partnered with Jordans Way Charities to host an all-out fundraising experience. The Greene County Humane Society is dedicated to caring for homeless and unwanted animals within Greene County.
The humane society is raising money to keep pushing their mission, and so far in January, they have adopted out almost 30 animals and had zero euthanasias.
They are looking to their community to help them achieve their 2021 goal of 365 adoptions. They will also use the money to help continue to expand their spay & neuter programs as well as establish a pet food bank. ....

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Ice buckets and pies in the face are all part of a four-hour long fundraising event to help the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
The fundraiser will be held live on the
shelterâs Facebook page on Tuesday, January 19 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. ....

Animal shelters in need during holiday season

The task of finding animals loving homes has been difficult because of the pandemic this year, but animal shelters are getting creative.
The Mayfield-Graves County Animal Shelter hosted a virtual âClear the Shelterâ event on Facebook Thursday to raise funds and adopt out their animals.
Laura Bailey is the grant coordinator for the Kentucky Humane Society and also spends a lot of time at the Mayfield-Graves County Animal Shelter.
The pandemic has caused limited foot traffic, reduced adoptions, and built other barriers.
âOur biggest impact is that we had to cancel our annual chili-fundraiser, itâs been our biggest fundraiser for over 20 years, and because of COVID we werenât able to have it in person,â Bailey said. ....

Local animal shelter gets creative to raise funds and find homes for animals

Our biggest impact is that we had to cancel our annual chili fundraiser. It s been our biggest fundraiser for over 20 years, and because of COVID, we weren t able to have it in person, said Bailey.
Bailey said they had a successful online auction, but it wasn t the same, so they brought in some help to get their animals out of here.
They partnered with social media influencer Kris Rotonda. He is the founder of Jordan s Way Charities.

Shelter raises funds with Facebook Live
