178 BNP leaders, activists get bail from HC The New Nation Staff Reporter : The High Court on Wednesday granted anticipatory bail to 178 BNP leaders and activists for one month in 16 cases filed with different police stations in Dhaka over the incidents of torching 11 buses at different places in the capital city on November 12 in 2020. The High Court bench of Justice Md Habibul Gani and Justice Md Riaz Uddin Khan passed the order after holding hearing on separate 36 petitions filed in this regard. Barrister Kayser Kamal and advocate Gazi Kamrul Islam Sajal appeared in the hearing for the bail seekers, while Deputy Attorney General Abul Hashem represented the state. ....
178 BNP men get anticipatory bail in cases over setting buses on fire File photo Star Online Report Star Online Report The High Court today granted anticipatory bail to 178 BNP leaders and activists including Juba Dal Vice Presidents Abdul Baten Shamim and Rabiul Alam till February 7 in 13 cases filed for setting buses on fire in Dhaka on November 12 last year. The HC also asked the accused to surrender before the lower court concerned on expiry of their anticipatory bail. The HC bench of Justice Md Habibul Gani and Justice Md Riaz Uddin Khan came up with the orders after hearing 36 petitions filed by the accused BNP leaders and activists seeking anticipatory bail in the cases. ....
