Opinion: Belarus Gomel Oblast, Russia s Bryansk Oblast need to strengthen industrial cooperation

GOMEL, 15 April (BelTA) - Gomel Oblast of Belarus and Bryansk Oblast of Russia need to strengthen cooperation between industrial enterprises, Gomel Oblast Governor Gennady Solovei said during a meeting with Bryansk Oblast Governor Alexander Bogomaz in the Russian region, BelTA learned from Press Secretary of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee Olga Ryabikova.
Bryansk Oblast is a reliable friend and stable economic partner of Gomel Oblast, Gennady Solovei stressed. The governor added however that the pandemic has affected the economic results of bilateral cooperation. The mutual trade in 2020 decreased compared to 2019. “I will express a general opinion: the mutual trade figures do not correspond to the potential of the two regions.
