Apr 21, 2021 EAST LIVERPOOL Monday afternoon, April 19, 2021, Rosemarie Ensinger went home to be with her Lord Jesus. Born April 1, 1930, Rosemarie was the seventh child of Emmett and Bertha Campbell Green. She graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1948, and married Kenneth Ensinger in 1951. Rosemarie and Kenneth spent fifty years together until Kenneth’s passing in 2001. Their two children are Stephen and Lisa Ensinger, both of East Liverpool. Rosemarie worked for Ohio Bell for more than thirty years in East Liverpool and Steubenville. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, a board member, choir member, Sunday School teacher, and she was a representative of the Nazarene Women’s Missionary Society. She currently attended Northside Community Church. She was a Telephone Pioneer member and served in several capacities for the East Liverpool school system, as a reading volunteer at LaCroft Elementary, a member of the PTA, and of the Kiwanis Scholar� ....
April 20, 2021 Five score and two years ago, Frank Addis founded Ohio Displays Incorporated, which notably created early signs for Cleveland’s original Home and Flower Show a precursor to modern trade shows. The company, based in Elyria, Ohio, has lasted long enough to come full circle. Way back in 1919, when Addis launched the business, the country was mired in a health crisis we now know as the Spanish Flu. So in 2021, overcoming a little thing like COVID-19 is old hat. “We’re in our second pandemic and the doors are still open,” said Bob Miller, ODI’s senior vice president and Addis’ great grandson. ....
Apr 18, 2021 BOARDMAN Helen F. Sinchak, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Hospice House. Helen was born June 13, 1935, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late John and Ann Pesta Klanica. As a child, she unknowingly met the love of her life, Del. They grew up together and then became high school sweethearts at Woodrow Wilson High School, from where they graduated in 1953. They married May 18, 1957 and enjoyed 64 wonderful years together. Helen had several jobs over the years. She started her career as an operator with Ohio Bell before working for many years at Dusi Music, a family-owned business. She finished her career at RL Lipton Distribution before retiring. ....
Sally Jo (Zellar) Hoey December 23, 1943 – January 3, 2021 Our beloved wife and mother, Sally Jo Hoey, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 3, 2021. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, William Edward (Ted) Hoey and her daughter and sons, Julie Hoey (Bill) Miller, Doug (Laura) Hoey and Jay (Alicia) Hoey. Sally is also survived by her “daughters at heart” Marianne (Serge) Benoit and Isabel Sapriza, exchange students who remain close to Sally and the family still today. Sally is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Liam and Delaney Miller, Will, Molly and Gavin Hoey, Alison and Zachary Kittle, Faye, Reece and Josephine Hoey, and William Benoit; her sisters Martha Zellar and Crystal (Steve) Zellar Hinkle; her nephews Jess (Tiffany) Hartman and Ian Hinkle; grand-niece Avery Hartman; and many lifelong friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Lana Mae Zellar Boots, who passed away on May 2, 2020. ....
